First Korean listed company to acquire GRESB’s 5 Stars

Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) is the world’s most authoritative ESG evaluation that comprehensively evaluates real estate real assets and management companies on their impact on the environment and relationships with stakeholders.

ESR KendallSquares REIT was the first Korean listed company to participate in the evaluation of “GRESB 2022 Real Estate,” a global real estate ESG evaluation agency, and recorded the highest rating of “5 Stars.” The first evaluation of ESR KendallSquares’ 7 logistics portfolios (46% of the total 19 holding assets with a total floor area of 1,205,679 m²) laid the groundwork for the sustainability of the Korean real estate industry. The highest grade of GRESB certification is the result of maintaining not only the efficiency gained from operating logistics assets but also the ESG initiatives that meet eco-friendly global standards.

In addition, ESR KendallSquare, the sponsor, has obtained first place in all Asian industries and the highest grade of GRESB, “5 Stars,” in the GRESB Developer Evaluation, the most authorized global ESG evaluation standard, to become the ESG management leader in all industries in Asia.

In addition, we strive to ensure the safety of tenants by acquiring WELL Health Safety Rating (WELL HSR) to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 and other diseases.
