Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) is the world's most authoritative ESG evaluation that comprehensively evaluates real estate real assets and management companies on their impact on the environment and relationships with stakeholders.

ESR Kendall Square REIT is the first Korean listed company to earn the highest 'Five-Star' rating in the 'GRESB 2022 Real Estate' assessment, a distinction it maintained for two consecutive years (2022 and 2023). This accolade reflects its commitment to sustainability and excellence in ESG practices.

The assessment covered 46% of ESR Kendall Square REIT's 7 logistics portfolios, totaling 1,205,679m2, demonstrating its operational efficiency and adherence to global environmental standards. This achievement underscores its leadership in sustainable real estate management in Korea.

Additionally, ESR Kendall Square, the sponsor, ranked first in the GRESB Developer Assessment for the industrial sector in Asia, also earning a 'Five-Star' rating. This solidifies ESR Kendall Square REIT's position as a premier investment for those prioritizing sustainability and long-term value.

ESG Highlights

We are dedicated to minimizing our environmental impact through sustainable and efficient asset development and operation. Our strategy includes careful site selection, green design initiatives, biodiversity protection, and the use of carbon-efficient, energy-efficient, and water-efficient products to reduce energy consumption, optimize water usage, manage waste, and minimize carbon emissions.

We proactively assess geological and climate-related hazards to develop strategies addressing climate risks. ESG factors are integrated into our logistics assets, aiming for global green building certifications such as LEED BD+C, LEED O+M, and WELL Health-Safety Rating. Many of our holdings are already certified green buildings, and we aim to increase this number. Our ongoing commitment to responsible water usage, renewable energy integration, and continuous energy conservation ensures our developments are sustainable and resilient, presenting a solid investment opportunity.
